Respectful

Relationships

Our school values are Building Independence, Building Communication and Building Relationships.

Respectful Relationships supports schools and early childhood settings to promote and model respect, positive attitudes and behaviours. It teaches our children how to build healthy relationships, resilience and confidence.

The Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships (RRRR) learning materials cover eight topics of Social and Emotional Learning across all levels of primary and secondary education: Emotional Literacy; Personal Strengths; Positive Coping; Problem Solving; Stress Management; Help Seeking; Gender and Identity; and Positive Gender Relationships.

As well as a strong, Positive Behaviour Support Framework, Coburg SDS has a well-defined Human Relations scope and sequence that meets the needs of the ideals promoted through the Respectful Relationships curriculum.  Unit planners are developed by each area team, supporting age-appropriate conceptual understanding in all of these areas.
