Cafe Coburg currently operates every Thursday and is open to the staff and members of the community to come for morning tea and lunch. Throughout the week, students work to prepare snacks and meals ready for this service. The area is primarily used by Later Years students as part of their work experience activities and in the future it is hoped that this area will become a hospitality space for the whole school to access.

Cafe Coburg is a space that has been developed to enable our students to actively participate in adapted hospitality programs, building their range of skills and confidence in their own ability.  Hospitality programs are a great way to integrate a wide range of curriculum areas, such as science, maths, English, personal learning and health education, whilst providing engaging activities at the same time. In addition to this, the Later Years teachers are providing their students the opportunity to gain real life work education experience by working in a functional cafe environment. This hands on approach helps students to generalise skills they have been working on and develop interaction skills in a supported way.
